From a young age, Ewan was always destined to be behind the wheel of a Rally Car. Ewan was barely able to walk when he first started spending time in and around the service area following father, Lee all across England, Scotland and Wales as he competed in various cars on national tarmac events. Spotted many times with an impact gun taking wheels off World Rally Cars.

Ewan's first taste of motorsport came through go-karting at local tracks, what started as fun quickly turned competitive as the ambition to win gradually took over. Starting at the age of 8, by the age of 10 Ewan was finishing school work and travelling UK wide following various championships.

As soon as he reached 14, Ewan moved into Rallying, through the Junior 100 Series for 14-17 year olds. After winning the Novice Cup in the Scottish J1000 Series in 2015, Ewan went on to achieve success in the 2016 season gaining more experience each round.
 
By the time 2017 came round, an opportunity came to compete in the British series as well as the Scottish series. After a dominating year with 9 out of 11 wins, Ewan wrapped up both British and Scottish Championship Wins with rounds to spare, as well as being chosen as UK Young Rally Driver of the Year at Professional Motorsport World Expo in Cologne, Germany.

Since success in 2017, Ewan stepped up into the Fiesta ST Series in the BTRDA Gravel Championship once he turned 17. Finishing on the podium in every round competed on and missed out to battle for the championship win due to not being old enough for the first few rounds. 
​
2019 was a quiet year for Ewan, but a return in 2020 in a Fiesta R2 was cut short due to the Coronavirus Pandemic despite leading the BTRDA R2 CUP, BTRDA JUNIORS and MRF MIXED SURFACE. 
​
A new car and challenge awaits in 2021.
